Candy n Candy Records Becomes the First Record Label to Launch Tabloid (PHOTOS)

November 2013 is an unbelievable month for new launches! The magazine media industry has so far seen 2 new magazines with regular frequency unveiled. This morning, the newest kid on the block (but with freshest ideas), Candy n Candy Records, launched its tabloid, the first of its kind in the country.

Named, BaabKubwa, the gossip magazine hit the streets of Nairobi this morning and so far they have already sold over 2,500 copies; which is absolutely a stellar performance for the world of new magazines.

BaabKubwa is a bi-monthly magazine, publishing entertainment information from Tanzania with a touch of international content from Kenya, Uganda, U.S, and U.K. Candy n Candy acquired the magazine earlier this month from a popular Tanzanian blogger.

The latest issue is aimed at a more mature celebrity-craving audience and is priced at a mere 200 bob; the magazine is fun, colorful and entertaining with the bootylicious model, Risper Faith on the cover. Those who bought the magazines received complimentary mixxtapes courtesy of Candy n Candy’s resident deejay, DJ Mantixx.
