CONFIRMED: Akon Performing in Kenya Next Weekend
A few weeks ago, it was announced that Akon was to come to Kenya for a concert. the singer confirmed the claims through a Skype Press conference at the Carnivore Restaurant this afternoon.
The Senegalese-American singer will perform at the Carnivore Grounds on the 27th and 28th of October. On Saturday, he will perform to a strictly over 18 crowd from 10:00 p.m. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, gates will open at noon for a family-friendly performance will start at 3:00 p.m.
Akon will be backed up by DJ Dr. Vey in his second visit to the country after the Zain-sponsored MTV MAMA Awards a few years ago. Arena tickets to the show will go for Kshs. 2,500 and VIP tickets will be Kshs. 5,000. The Akon show is brought to you by Spartan Group and Heineken.
