Daddy Owen Responds To Claims That He Used Blind Singer Denno For His Own Selfish Gains And Left Him Languishing In Poverty
A few years ago, Daddy Owen and Denno worked on one of the most beautiful songs we have ever had the pleasure of listening to, ‘Mbona’.
Recently Bahati revealed that Denno was living in squalor despite getting a hefty sum of 1 Million Kshs from daddy Owen. Involuntarily raising the question of what happened to the Royalties earned from ‘Mbona’ which was on constant replay in Kenya. Did Daddy Owen steal Denno’s royalties?
Denno on his part said that he did not get the 1 Million Kshs and didn’t even get any royalty money.
Daddy Owen has come out to refute claims that he used Denno for his own selfish gains telling Heads Up that:
“I have been seeing the exchanges online and as a sane person, I decided to go face the brother. The whole family (Denno’s) and I had a meeting where we settled everything or so I thought .” he said before adding that “Despite everything, I will not hold any grudge against anyone because I have been in this industry long enough to know that these things happen.”
