Dancing In The Wild To Save Nature, Check This Out

Kiambu County has launched Lari Marathon, the first ever to be ran in a forest. Aimed at conserving the environment through sports, the track will be ran at the extensive Kereita Forest in Lari Sub-County.

The Lari marathon gives participants an opportunity to experience the Kenyan wild in a most unique way on the 1st of March, 2014 from 7 a.m.

Lari Marathon 2014 is expected to attract competitors from all over the world from walkers, to fun runners, amateurs, to world renowned professionals. Many athletes from Kenya and around the world join in the race, both to face this challenging wild race and for the chance to rub shoulders with some of Kenya’s incomparable long distance superstars.

Program:

42KM full Marathon from 7.30AM.

21KM half marathon from 9.30AM.

10KM road race from 10.30AM

5KM family fun run from 11AM

At 2pm, live performances; work with no fun makes Jack a dull boy, hence Code Red! have organized a concert after the run to relax you.

This concert will have performances from the likes of Madtraxx, Shiro wa GP, Mejja, villagers band, DJ Nijo and DJ Adrian among others.
