Despite His Sex Scandal, Gospel Artist Willy Paul Nominated For Three Awards

Gospel artist Willy Paul has been a man under fire recently. After Pulse ran a story about him having sex with secular artist named Pendo, the media lit on fire with accusations and counter accusations about who did what when and where.

But after the dust has now settled, Willy Paul has gone on to be nominated for THREE Coast Awards at the same damn time! He has been nominated for:

MALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR

GOSPEL SONG OF THE YEAR and

SONG OF THE YEAR

Now the question remains, does controversy bring down celebs, or promote them to greater heights? I believe it actually promotes them, proof being these nominations above, and also the Avril case, where she swept so many awards the year after her naked pictures came out.
