DJ Joe Mfalme’s lecture

The true definition of a good DJ according to DJ Joe Mfalme is

the one who has top notch skills, good record selector, good character, passionate about his work and a good entertainer.

He advices the up coming talent that deejaying entails passion, the love of the game, sacrifice and dedication and if they don’t have any of the above then they should not think of joining this lovely career.

DJ Joe Mfalme acknowledged that without discipline no one can survive in this industry as much as one has got mad talent. He said that he has already seen great DJs going down because of behavior issues.

The king, himself advices young up-coming DJs to emulate and learn from the gurus (DJs who have been in the game for the last 10 years).

He accepts that knowing how to scratch will give someone an added advantage but that does not make you the best as your character matters a lot.

Deejaying is a profession and people like him are earning a living out of it.

He’s parting shot was that respect is earned by respecting others.
