DJ Pinye Gets Called Out For His ‘Hypocrisy’ Bone’eye and DK Kwenye Beat Lead The Assault

Kenyan artists are taking the issue of local music being given 70% airplay pretty seriously and deservedly so. Not only did they go ahead with their protest but are also calling out those perceived to be stumbling blocks to the promotion of local music.

One Person who has found himself on the wrong path is DJ Pinye. Despite having come up with Pinye’s Challenge a project aimed at pulling together different artists and producers to work towards the production of an album with the multiple award winning and long serving DJ. however, it appears DJ Pinye past actions have come back to haunt him. He has long been accused of filling his show ‘THE BEAT’ on NTV with foreign content. Infact, only last year was he accused of the same thing in the Papa Denis Injili video an allegation he never responded to giving reasons behind his refusal to play the song.

DK Kwenye Beat and Bone’Eye have calle dhim out in their respective social media posts using his challenge poster and writing ‘Wacha Ujinga Kwanza Cheza 70% Kenyan’. This is bound to build up to something and it remains to e seen who takes up DJ Pinye’s challenge. Here are the posts
