Do You Think Dj Creme De La Creme’s Epic Nation Stole Their Distinctive Logo? (Photos)

Creme De La Creme and his Epic Nation Apparel Group unveiled their official brand new logo earlier this year with much fanfare and excitement. The Epic Nation Apparel has been doing very well in the country and overseas with even celebrities rocking the apparel but someone wants to rain on their parade.

Graphic Designer Roy Smith through logothief.com is accusing the street wear brand of pinching the logo from his Logo pond portfolio. The said logo was published 2 years before the Epic Nation apparel group unveiled their new logo:

‘I have asked Epic Nation repeatedly to remove my logo from their site. Unbelievably, they asked me to show written proof of copyright!’ Roy cried

To make the logo seem a little different from Roy’s logo, Epic National Apparel allegedly redrew the forms of Roy’s EZ logo and rotate it to create their logo.

It may seem that the street wear clothing line might have stolen the logo but then again, this is what might have happened: A graphic designer made the logo as a concept for a client, EZ, who refused to take it or picked another concept.

The designer believes in his concept and doesn’t want it to go to waste, so he puts it in his portfolio titling it as EZ Logo Concept. Later, Epic Nation comes along, likes the concept and buys it from the designer.

The designer doesn’t go back to his portfolio to remove ‘EZ Logo Concept.’ The Internet doesn’t forget. Someone else comes along and figures that the concept might have been stolen.
