Eldoret Mammies go Topless!!
As we all know, or so I hope, October is the Breast Cancer Awareness month, an annual campaign that holds an objective to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. In support of healthy boobs Kenyans have been using community based approach to reach out to all females and males. It’s a common belief dudes are not at a risk of getting breast cancer, this is not true so please ‘kill’ that notion and go get them bobbies checked.

With that same train of thought, Eldoret mammies went topless for a photo shoot by Kim photography for an event organized by Miss Kerre Fashion The event happened on Mashujaa day which saw a huge number of ladies turn up for the sessions. Apart from topless women, the event had;
- Free tequila shots and vodka for all ladies that were dressed in pink.
- Talk by cancer Survivor – Tetty Sambu
- Runway/catwalk by Eldoret Models dressed by Miss Kerre Fashion
- Breast cancer Screening – also Pap smear by a private hospital in Eldoret
- An after Party that was held at Spree Club.
With the help of her sponsors namely; Club Spree Eldoret & School of Med volunteers as doctors Miss Kerre aka Yvonne Kerre made the event a success.
