Embu Businesswoman Kills Herself and Her Two Children in a Ghastly Suicidal Fire (Photo)

No one saw it coming .Not the villagers of Mugoya village, Embu County nor the boda boda operator who was sent by Caroline Wanjiru to buy the 3 liters of petrol that she used to commit the shocking act.

The 38 year old woman was said to have locked herself in the bedroom together with her two kids Grace Ashley Murugi(8) and Paul Macharia (2),drenched the room with petrol then struck a match and set the house on fire.

Speaking to Nairobi News the boda boda operator said “I didn’t suspect anything since she has a car. I thought the vehicle had stalled and she wanted to go somewhere. She didn’t appear distressed in any way.”

Following the inferno, Mrs. Caroline and her children could not be saved as the gate had been locked and barricaded by a car that was packed close to the gate.

Residents expressed shock over the incident as she was known to carry herself in a calm and collected manner.
