Enjoy An Evening of Laid-back, Soulful Music
Soulful singer, Wairimu Ng’aru presents Writings on My Wall, an evening of easy listening music, on Friday the 24th of August at the Michael Joseph Centre, Safaricom House, Waiyaki Way, from 7:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Charges for this evening of soulful music are Kshs. 300 in advance and Kshs. 400 at the venue.
The fusion singer and songwriter, Wairimu Ng’aru, will present some of her best works backed by a live band. The event is billed as a must attend for all true music fans.
Wairimu Ng’aru’s music makes for easy listening. It has been described as “complex in its simplicity” by fans and has the mellow-voiced singer and songwriter often likened to musicians such as Corrine Bailey Rae, Sade and Asa.
The talented singer and songwriter’s music dwells on issues pertaining to everyday life such as love. Through her music, Wairimu Ng’aru says she, “seek to draw others to love, love of all that which is divine, love of others and love of self, on sunny days and on rainy days too.”
Wairimu Ng’aru has previously performed at notable events such as Wamathai, Nairobi Kinanda Arts Festival and The B.O.G.O.F. (Being Only Great of Finesse) where she has garnered rave reviews.
