Family before Fame: Wyre Reveals Why His Family Will Always Come First Before His Career

Performers Right Society of Kenya (PRISK) a body which represents performers in musical and dramatic works recently published a list of the top ten earners for the 2014 royalty distribution.

And on top of that list was Wyre. Apart from landing at the top of the PRISK list, Wyre released his album ‘Lion’ which has caught the country by storm. Releasing an album and performing your way to the top of the performers list can take the toll on anyone especially the family and we have seen many people sacrifice the family life for their career.

So how does Wyre manage a crazy busy career and a family? ” It can be quite busy.” Wyre says in regards to his career.

“But for me my priority is my family. The career manages to sustain my family, but my number one priority is my family. You can work forever and try to be the best in what you do but the one thing that will still keep you sane in this world is your family. So for me I would do anything to maintain that unity in my family, I hold it very close to my heart. Uhhm family is key “ he adds.
