Social Media has been alive lately, but for all the wrong reasons. There has been more bile than usual, people hating on a socialite’s 450K weave, folks showing extreme dislike for Eva Saida the socialite ‘launched’ by Ghafla, the Shebesh-Sonko Fiasco and now we are obsessing about the KDF lootenants.

We are so obsessed with negativity that awesome things are happening such as Lupita bagging a Hollywood award but very few seem to care about this Kenyan  mile stone.

This opinion is echoed by Mudigi of Sauti Sol who says that

We are not one until we sort out our basics. We have to support one another. Let’s stop waiting for news so that we can aggressively hate on twitter. Am longing to see topics like; Lupita Nyong’o, Sauti sol’s soma kijana initiative, KPL, and other success stories trend.
Let’s not use social media only to hate and put each other down.
