FIRED KBC STAFF REINSTATED

Hundreds of KBC staff that had this morning been fired have now been reinstated…

This followed a sit down that the government had with the management of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation late this afternoon.

The staff of the state controlled broadcaster had late last week gone on strike protesting poor or non-existent pay for a duration of upto seven months. They also cited poor working conditions, lack of allowances and mismanagement under their tenure there.

The corporation had just today advertised the positions of all those who went on strike in local dailies, but employees will be pleased at this latest effort. Keep it Ghafla for more of this as it develops.
