Former NTV’s Plus Size Actress Now Making It Big In American Movies (Photos)

So it has come to our attention Lupita Nyong’o isn’t the only Kenyan actress gracing red carpet events in international arenas; there is another Kenyan on her trail too.

Clarice Otieno, an actress and a plus size model based in Texas, USA, is the other Kenyan who is thriving in American film industry.

Clarice started acting at a tender age back in Kenya at school and in drama at ACK St. John’s Pumwani. Her breakthrough came when she joined NTV’s (then Nation TV) Red Korna where she featured in three episodes alongside Maurice Ochieng aka Mudomo Baggy.

Clarice developed love for fashion and modeling when she visited Germany where she competed for Miss Africa Germany. She later moved to US to further her acting and modeling career.

Clarice has been featured in both Nollywood and Hollywood films. She has acted alongside Lynn Whitfield,( Tyler Perry’s Family Reunion and Take the spotlight). She has also worked with Patrick Duffy, Linda Grey, Jordana Brewster, Josh Henderson, (Dallas Series) Ashley judd (Salvation)

In Nollywood films, Clarice has featured in movies with Nigeria’s popular actors and actress including: Van Vicker, Patience ozokwor aka mama G, Kalu ikeagwu, Chinedu ikedieze “Aki n Popo” among others.
