From A Living Off The Streets To Being The Lead Stylist At Fashion Shows; The Amazing Story Of Moses Wambui
FAFA 2014 is proud to announce that this year the Lead Hair Stylist for the show will be Moses Maina Wambui who continues his personal journey of self-discovery and success.
A little over a decade ago Moses found himself living on and off the streets in gang of street boys. He always had a passion for hairdressing but the thought of becoming a professional hairdresser and stylist seemed a distant dream.
But dreams do come true and after waiting for 3 long years Moses was awarded a free scholarship to the Shair Hairdressing Academy in Nairobi. After completing his training in 2007 he quickly became a lead stylist at Queens.
His reputation has grown and now he is a senior stylist at Topaz in Nairobi.
As the Lead hair Stylist behind the scenes at FAFA he will lead a team from the Shair Academy and work with Tom Omolo, Jeffrey Ndunda, Victor Njenga and Sebastian Musyoka assisted by some of the current students at the Academy, to make sure that every model looks fantastic.
Ann McCreath is full of praise for Moses “I am thrilled that Moses has agreed and is so excited to take charge of the hair…. Can’t wait to see our beautiful models hair on the night”
Shair have been associated with FAFA since it started in 2008 and feel that this year with Moses in charge behind the scenes is a tribute to him.
The Academy is so proud to have helped him on his journey. Below is his story in
