News just in is that Radio Africa is venturing into vernacular radio stations segment.
The media house is about to launch not one but two vernacular radio stations. One, Kikuyu, the other LuoWhile the Luo radio station is still in the pipeline, the plans to launch the Kikuyu one are at an advanced stage.
In fact, RAG has already set it eyes on poaching the most influential radio hosts from Inooro and Kameme radio stations.

One of those set to depart from Kameme is a high profile radio production guy at Mediamax. The targeted radio hosts are yet to be identified but its a known fact at Mediamax that RAG is going for the kill.
This comes at a time when Kameme has lost the top spot to Inooro for the top Kikuyu radio station according to the latest KARF report.
Moving into the vernacular section will put Radio Africa at a great position to compete with the likes of Royal Media who have established successful vernacular stations.
