Ghafla Exclusive: SAUTI SOL’s Reaction After Winning The MTVEMA Best African Act

Yes! They have won the MTVEMA Best African Act award! That is the breaking good news of the day. This has been made possible through our unity as a nation in voting for the group of four who have been in the forefront in entertaining, educating and informing Kenyans.

From the top echelons of power to the grassroots, Kenyans have united to vote for the best singers in the country and this is why they have clinched the prestigious award.

And Sauti Sol were quick to shower their thanks to the masses, the fans friends and foes in equal measure for putting aside their political differences that have for so long defined Kenya and voting as a block.

Speaking exclusively to Ghafla Kenya, Sauti Sol thanked every Kenyan who took his time and resources to vote for them for the prestigious award.

“It is true we have won the MTVEMA Best African Act category and this is because of you Kenyans. We lack words to express this feeling but we want to thank you all Kenyans for voting as a block and this shows the kind of love you have for us,” Sauti Sol said.

They added that they are marvelled at the way Kenyans showed their love for them in the whole time they needed them most.

“This is marvellous, credible, unbelievable. We thank president Uhuru Kenyatta who led the line in tweeting urging Kenyans to vote for us. We thank all Kenyans for voting us to the top,” they added.

When asked whom they were dedicating the award to, Sauti Sol had this to say: “This award is for all Kenyans. They have won it through us. It is their award.”

However, Sauti sol are not yet done. There is an even bigger award to be won and they are in it: the Best Worldwide Act. They need your votes for this. All you can do is keep voting.
