Whatever your opinion of his music and him as a person, Octopizzo is indubitably one of the best artist who have mastered insane wordplay in their music. Aside from just the words the meaning behind them is what makes sense. This is seen in the titling of his latest album L.P.D.C an acronym for Long Distance Paper Chaser.
Easy to see it as a title for someone who seeks money but there is a story behind it. He describes the journey of everyone, leaving their homes ancestral or otherwise in pursuit of dreams in further lands/distances. As for his consistence reference to Paul Tergat, he says he has lot’s of respect to Kenyan athletes the only people who have consistently put Kenyan on the international conscience with record setting performances and yet they are not truly appreciated while they serve as true role models.
