Hapo zamani… a natural from Kwame

Though released around January, I simply cannot let this one fade, as it is one of the most original and natural songs from Africa. Kenyans are music.

Kwame featured a rapper, Delpha, in this song titled ‘Hapo zamani’. This is a very rare fusion of Afro and rap… and guess what, they nailed it!

The song is a touchy one, talking about a father that passed away but the son holds his memories and advised dear to his heart. After the second chorus, Kwame does an ad-lib that is heaven to the ears, and later Delpha comes in rapping in slang. The fusion is just great.
