Hassan Waziri Defends Himself on Claims of Conning

We wrote about the gospel sensational group MOG and how they were almost conned by a Dubai promoter this Easter holiday. Read the article here. The said promoter called Hassan Waziri of WAZIRI clothing who hosted MOG and DJ Izrael has sent a press release to our news room on what happened in Dubai between him and M.O.G.
Ghafla! has a copy of the contract that M.O.G entered into with the Dubai based promoter Hassan Waziri, which seems to have what is in the press release quoted below;

“WAZIRI Clothing hosted MOG & DJ Izrael for a show on Good Friday at Club Garage in Deira-Dubai. As the contract states, 50% of the payment will be done before the show and 50% after the show. Of which we had come to an amicable conclusion from both parties until half an hour to the performance when MOG bluntly stated that they wouldn’t be appearing on stage without their remaining balance that was to be paid after the performance based on the agreement on the contract.
This was happening as DJ Izrael had already hyped up the crowd, starting his set from 11pm onwards to a fully charged crowd who had attended the show. WAZIRI Clothing has honored DJ Izrael’s contract and was greatly inconvenienced by MOG’s last minute stunt which derailed the ambiance of the entire event. MOG then went on to embarrass themselves to the management by checking out at their hotel at 2:00 am forcing the hotel administration to give them their passports.
Later on, they stood outside the club entrance and incited the crowd which had turned up for the show to seek refunds of their entry tickets, shouting fouled words and unprintable statements at the management. They later on headed to the airport with the aid of an accomplice from a rival camp in the wee hours of the morning.
This occurrence can only be likened to the betrayal of Christ during the Easter period coinciding with the day of the event itself. Whilst we thought highly of MOG over other secular artists, it was a very controversial act even in terms of personal etiquette and conduct of the Christan Urban artists who went on entertaining strings of women in their hotel rooms and local coffee shops. It’s actually dumbfounding!”
