Yvonne ChakaChaka

Yvonne Chakachaka is a veteran South African songbird who is well known among Africans and the outside world. She is considered as one of the best singers Africa has ever produced; a legend in her own capacity who has represented the continent in various fronts.
Many people actually identify themselves with the singer, not as a South African but as an African queen of music.
Her exploits in the music industry saw her land a job with the United Nations where she was appointed the Unicef ambassador of goodwill. Well, Yvonne was in the country last week where she paid a visit to State House and met First Lady Margaret Kenyatta where she presented Unicef’s goodwill message.
Christina Shusho

She is a Tanzanian gospel songbird who is regarded as one of the hottest, beautiful gospel singer in Africa. Among Kenyans, she has a massive following and is well known among both Christians and even atheists.
Her songs are as captivating as her looks, and one thing that has made the singer a darling to many is her ability to avoid controversies. She is cool and down to earth. She has been to Kenya before and as she confessed sometimes back, she loves Kenya and its people. Shusho was on radio Citizen over the weekend and had a nice message for Kenyans where she urged them to remain cool and good. She is in the country to promote her music.
Diamond Platinumz

He is arguably the best singer in East Africa and probably in Africa. Diamond has been in the industry not for so long a time but he has taken the industry by storm, winning award after another and building himself an empire that will take ages to break.
He has travelled the world over to do shows and landing one for him needs a lot of exertion and meandered procedures. Despite all that, Diamond was lured into the country where he had a performance in Mombasa over the weekend. As the singer himself revealed, the show was dope.
Alaine Laughton

She is famously known as ‘Wafula’s wife’ amongst many Kenyans. This is after the Jamaican reggae songbird beautifully sang for her unknown Wafula on Churchill show in her previous visit to Kenya.
Alaine came back last week to look for her Wafula and I hope she found him. Apart from looking for Wafula, the singer held performances in Nakuru and other parts of the country, and was on various national TV stations where her fans got to see her and hear from her.
Alaine herself as again and again confessed to be in love with Kenya and its people and the environment. She once said she will seek Kenyan citizenship because she cannot get more of what Kenya offers her. From Mahindi Choma to bananas, Aliaine is a big fan.
Akon

The US-based Senegalese singer has been in the country twice in less than a month. First, he came over secretly and after he had left, his photos with President Uhuru Kenyatta emerged. He also met with Kenyan singer Jaguar and rumour was that there was something cooking between the two; something that we have not heard of to date.
Akon is in the country, again, and as Ghafla Kenya exclusively revealed, he was spotted in the VIP lounge during 2 Chainz concert, thanks to our hawk-eyed cameraman. It is believed among other things, Akon came to grace 2 Chainz concert and also see the progressive of promo run by Airtel where best singers are awarded.
2 Chainz

The peak of the weekend’s shows was at Ngong Race Coursewhere American rapper 2 Chainz rocked the cloud gathered on that Friday evening to have a glimpse of the celebrated rapper and hear live from him.
Those who attended the event can testify that they were not disappointed by the rapper. He did his best, entertained, triggered and enthralled those gathered in the event.
2 Chainz’s show also saw Kenyan celebrities gather to hear and see the American rapper, clearly showing how prominent he is among many Kenyans.
Even as we still tell stories of 2 Chainz, Akon and other celebrities who have paid homage to Kenya and entertained us, we should brace ourselves for more from others who have promised to jet into the country for more fan. This and many more indicate that Kenya is still the best destination for renowned celebrities in the world.
