Here is The First TV Station in Western Kenya
Finally people from Western Kenya have something to smile about after a television station fully dedicated to them has been set up. WTV, as it’s known, is the first television station in Western province.
WTV is a TV station specially made for Western Kenya and aims at getting the public informed about western and be entertained by western Kenya talents. Currently, WTV is only playing music as it prepares to launch soon under the digital platform.
The TV station has appointed former West FM General Manager Daniel Kwanutsu as the new TV chief; a move that is expected to spark rivalry considering West FM is also trying to also put up a TV station. Kwanutsu, who was very instrumental with set up West FM, said this will be a great opportunity for the story of western Kenya to be told across Kenya and the world. He added that he is working on plans to live stream WTV on the internet.
