Humans of New York (HONY) Comes To Kenya

In 2010, Brandon Stanton began Humans of New York .His aim was to create a thorough catalogue of New York City’s inhabitants.

Four years and 9,347,873 Facebook likes later,Brandon’s catalogue has evolved into an extremely popular website, Humans of New York that aims to tell the stories of people living in new York.

On 8th August, Brandon decided to take a trip around the globe alongside the United Nations. Brandon was set to visit ten countries and he has already been in two in African countries: Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya, telling stories of Africans like no Western Media has ever done before.

Potraying Africans as humans with actual dreams, and feelings as opposed to how we are often potrayed as impoverished and forever waiting for hand outs.Check out his Kenyan Story here
