I Sang It First: Evidence That an American Musician Sang Gloria Muliro’s ‘Follow You’ First

Last year Gloria Muliro dropped one of the hottest hits of 2013, the praiseful, upbeat “Follow You”

I initially thought the song was inspired by Ruth 1:15-16 where Ruth promises her undying love and commitment  for her mother-in-law after her husband dies.

In the verse Ruth says “Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. “

But I stumbled upon a song by Chris Tomlin  ‘I Will Follow’ which was uploaded three years ago. It’s as upbeat as Gloria Muliro but it’s a rock song.
