Is It A Case Of Bias! While Jeff Koinange Parted With Kes 2 Million To Buy His Freedom The court Exercises Leniency On His Accomplice. You Won’t Believe What It Did

Last Friday, Legendary talk show host, Jeff Koinange, parted with Kes 2 million to avoid a 6 month jail term that he was slapped with by the court.

For starters, Jeff Koinage and businessman Tony Gachoka booked themselves a date with the law after discussing a case involving businessman Jimi Wanjigi, his brother Sani Mbui Wanjigi and the Kwacha Group of Companies on KTN’s Jeff Koinange Live undermining a court order barring them from discussing the same on media.

While Jeff was able to cough out 2 million, his accomplice, businessman Tony Gachoka, somehow couldn’t pay the fine imposed by the court and ended up spending the weekend at Industrial Area Remand Prison.

Even so, Tony had the last laugh. In a new twist of events, the High Court has ordered the immediate release of Tony and the suspension of Sh2 million fine and his imprisonment.

Justice Weldon Korir yesterday directed that the case at the magistrates’ court be put on hold pending the hearing and determination of an appeal against the decision by Principal Magistrate Maisey Chesang.
