Janet Mbugua and Eddie Ndichu Prepare For the Birth of Their Child like Hollywood Parents (Photos)

The first time I heard of a Doula, was in an episode of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians ’ when one of the sisters wanted to have a water birth.

And over time I heard many Hollywood celebrities swear by them .Celebrities like Tia and Tamera Mowry, Nicole Kidman ,Alyson Hannigan have employed the services of one to ease them through delivery.

Simply put, a doula is a nonmedical person who lends a hand a woman before, during, and/or after childbirth, as well as her spouse and/or family, by providing physical assistance and emotional support. It sounds a lot like a midwife, but the difference between a doula and a midwife is that a midwife is more of a healthcare provider than a birth companion.

Anyhow, the Ndichu’s are employing the help of a doula in preparation for their son Clarke, something which Janet says has helped a lot as with a doula you do not have to grope in the dark as she gives you important advice. She also encourages women to go to Lamaze classes, something that is also quite popular among Hollywood celebrities.
