Citizen TV’s anchor, Julie Gichuru, is arguably the most travelled media personality in Kenya. Her numerous trips this time round saw her visiting the tiny East African nation of Rwanda.

Julie yesterday represented Kenyan women at the launch of ‘New Faces, New Voices’ Rwanda Chapter; a Pan-African advocacy group that focuses on expanding the role and influence of women in the financial sector.

The event was graced by the continent’s influential namely; Rwandese first Lady Jeannette Kagame, Nelson Mandela’s widow, Graça Machel, Vice Governor of the National Bank of Rwanda Monique Nsanzabaganwa, Equity Bank CEO and Managing Director, Dr. James Mwangi, Julie Gichuru herself among others.

New Faces, New Voices is a movement that was founded by Machel in 2010 in partnership with the African Development Bank and other Global Institutions to change the financial status of women.
