Milele FM, a subsidiary of Mediamax Ltd, a company that is associated with the first family is in the final talks with its former Breakfast Show supremo Vincent Ateya in a bid to improve its GEO Polls ratings.

The mellow-voiced veteran presenter who resigned late last year after what he termed as “desire to pursue some other interests” has been spotted severally at DSM Place Mediamax offices.

When Ghafla! contacted him,his phone went unanswered.However a close source who is privy to such internal going-ons , disclosed to Ghafla that it is just a matter of time before Ateya puts pen to paper in what will see him dislocate Alphonce Oladipo who in the current situation is expected to return to K24 as sports anchor.

The move is a result of the dwindling ratings that the station’s premier morning show has recorded over the last last 8 months dropping from 3rd position to 6th, coming right behind fifth placed KBC’s Zinga La Asubuhi.

Ateya is remembered for keeping Citizen radio atop the national table with his common-man Swahili. Also being monitored keenly by Mediamax top brass is Geofrey Kwetemba from KBC Radio Taifa.
