Kagwe Mungai Talks His Life As A Singer And Music Producer
Kagwe Mungai, a Kenyan Afro funky house artist whose career was launched with his debut EP, It Only Gets Better, in 2012, has his music exploring various musical directions such as, but not limited to jazz, hip- hop, R&B and electronica.
Speaking to Ghafla Kenya, the singer and songwriter revealed that he started singing at the age of thirteen and has since carried on and on to date.
When asked if his ancestors engaged in music before, Kagwe denied saying he is the very first person in his family to do music.
How comes then that you started at 13? Kagwe says it is all about passion and dedication.
In addition to writing, recording and engineering his music, Kagwe creates his own music videos, packaging and promotional items and establishing a strong web and blog presence.
