KBC’s News Reporter Joins the Long Lists of Celebrity Graduates

Graduation season is here and we have seen the likes of Kirigo Ng’arua, Kevin Buo and the Dapper Brother from Kelele Takatifu .

Now Ruthie Mutegi a Business Reporter at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation has joined the long list of 2015 graduates.

Ruthie graduated with honors and she excitedly took to social media top celebrate her victory writing:

For 10 years, TEN good years I dreamt and prayed that someday I would GRADUATE with a degree! And lo and behold! I remember when my Uncle-dad Nyaga (May he RIP) told me that he knew I was intelligent and smart and that I would bring the first degree home, he said I would change history, the history of young girls in my village not loving education, the history of young girls believing they are not destined to be great, he said it was up to me to set the pace and a good example, he told me to keep fighting and keep going, and I did! Oh the tears along the way! The sleepless nights! And today I am so happy I have fulfilled my Uncle-dad’s dream, which became my dream too, he died two months ago, he always wanted to see me in a graduation gown and kofia, but it is well and ‪#‎GodIsStillGod!

I am bringing the first degree home, I have brought honor to the Kiobe family, I have brought honour to my village! My Uncle-dad Nyaga’s vision has finally come to pass! I have changed history! Second Class Honours, Upper Division! This is for you Uncle-dad Nyaga, this one is for you my dearest papa and son, this one is for you! I have finally achieved your dream for me! God is never late! Beauty for ashes, Jehovah God has given me beauty for my ashes! GLORY to GOD!
