Kenyan Photo-Activist Takes “Mavulture” Inititative to Amsterdam (Photos)
Prior to the 2012 Prince Claus Awards Ceremony, Kenyan photojournalist, activist and 2012 Prince Claus Laureate Boniface Mwangi and fellow artist, Swift, spray-painted a work of graffiti art at the Dam Square in Amsterdam. Mwangi and his colleague created the artwork live for the public at 13:00 on 12 December. Mwangi is one of the brains behind the “Mavulture” initiative and if you are keen enough you must have noticed some of his works on the streets and even billboards.
