Kenyan Singer Goes On a Month-long U.S. Tour
Kenyan soul singer, Nina Ogot is in the U.S. for a month-long tour, which will see her perform all across America, from Florida, through Virginia and ending in New York.
The first show already took place on the 10th of September and the last will be on the 7th of October. Below is a list of the cities she will perform in throughout her tour.
New Smyrna Beach, Florida – Sept 10th -22nd
Charlston, South Carolina – Sept 23rd – 26th
Asheville, North Carolina – Sept 27th
Floyd, Virginia – Sept 28th
Roanoke, Virginia – Sept 29th – 30th
Washington D.C. -Oct 1st – 3rd
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Oct 4th
New York, New York -Oct 4th – 7th
Nina Ogot sings in English, Swahili, French, Lingala and her native Luo. She released her debut album, Ninairobi, in 2008. Last year, she won a Kalasha Award for Issa as Best Original Score. Nina Ogot was also a radio presenter at Radio France International and TV presenter on Citizen’s music show, Afro-Dizzia.
