Kenyan Songstress Wins Best Music Video at Nigerian Film Festival
The endowed Afro-pop singer Nina Ogot managed to keep her song Wololo on the award list despite being released over a year ago. The song Wololo describes humanities constant pursuit of wealth, power and fame at the expense of a good quality life full of love and simplicity.
The Kenyan songstress was awarded during the first ever African Student Film Festival. The event was
born out of born out of deep thoughts for the future of the beautiful continent of Africa, in order to protect our cultural values and also to promote them to the international world.
Nina (together with Muthoni DQ) is currently in the US for ONE Beat music festival representing the country. Besides being a musician, Nina is a former Radio France International presenter of Kenyan show ‘Bonjour Culture’ as well as former presenter of Citizen TV’s ‘Afro-Dizzia’.
