Kenyan Women Named As Some of the World’s ‘Baddest’ Women

Kenyans were once described as Africa’s “Most Ugliest” people, but we forgave them because the people who wrote the said article came from a point of ignorance. It’s clear that the person who wrote it had clearly not set foot in Kenya.

But in recent times we as the Kenyan people are recognized for more positive things such as being the kindest people in Africa and now Kenyan women have been listed as one of  the “Baddest women” on earth.This is because of the fiery protest #mydressmychoice that we participated in to protest the stripping of a woman in by Embassava touts.

The site, Buzzfeed this year decided to recognize women who had made a change in 2014, those that fought for equality and justice.

A protest that was totally worth it as the government opened its eyes to the disgrace and extreme violence facing women.
In recent times we have seen the Kayole stripping perpetrators arraigned in court, the A.P who threatened to strip a teenager also arraigned in court, and the best part of all, the Githurai men who sexually assaulted a woman in Githurai could be facing the death penalty. That is progress my people.
