Kenzo: “Matatu Is NOT About My Ex”

It is said that the higher they climb, the further they fall. Kenzo has been riding high with his latest hit, ‘Matatu’ which he sang with K-mess, but as usual, the haters have crawled out of their cocoon to bring the guy down. He has recently been a man under fire. ‘Matatu’ with K-mess has been interpreted in some quarters as being about his previous relationship with his ex-girlfriend. The drama has escalated to a level where his ex’s mum tried to talk to him about his mishandling of the drama.

Kenzo called us to clarify the whole issue: “Matatu is not about my ex. That song is simply about relationships in general. A lot of people thought it was me hitting out at my ex, because the way we broke up was not the best, but that is not the case.”
