KTN, NTV, Citizen Not Owners Of African Digital Network (ADN). Find Out Who The Real Owners Are And Why Kenyans Should Feel Cheated
Fresh details are emerging that Nation Media, Standard Media and Royal Media are not the owners of the digital disribution firm, African Digital Network (ADN) which they want the Communication Authority to give a digital broadcasting licence.
According to the Star newspaper, ADN is owned by two gentlemen, Timothy Charo Odhiambo and John Macharia Maina.
It is reported that the Registrar of Companies says that ADN does not belong to the three media houses as they purport and that it is not a registered company.
John Maina is believed to be son to Royal Media Services owner, SK Macharia while Timothy Charo Odhiambo is unidentified.
Documents in the registrar’s office indicate that ADN was registered in 1900, something the registrar says simply means that the company has not been registered.
The three media houses have been pushing for ADN to be given a license to offer digital broadcasting services to the three media houses.
It is believed that CA has refused to give the license because they do not who the real owners of the digital firm are.
The three media houses have been warned to get back to air or get their broadcasting licenses revoked.
