‘Last Year The Husband Stabbed Her; She Had A Miscarriage And Lost Two Front Teeth.’ Neighbor Shares a Harrowing Account of the Violence the 6 Month Pregnant Lang’ata Woman Brutally Assaulted Yesterday Endured

Yesterday, many of us were left shell-shocked after activist Boniface Mwangi shared the videos of a pregnant woman who was beaten and left bleeding by her husband. You would be forgiven to think that a mob had beaten her up, but sadly it’s the husband who had beaten her up without any fear of getting caught on camera.

The woman identified as Justa Kawira had initially refused to press charges but Boniface Mwangi revealed that she had a change of mind and has decided to get a lawyer to pursue the case. Meanwhile, she is recovering at Lang’ata Hospital and they have found a safe house where she can live in after getting discharged.

Boniface also revealed that the woman was amazed by the support Kenyans had given her and also explained why the neighbors looked like they were not helping the woman as she got beaten. A neighbor who shared the video also revealed that Kawira had a miscarriage last year after her husband stabbed her and she also lost 2 front teeth. Yikes!
