Local Gospel Artist To Do a Collabo with Mary Mary

Ogopa Deejays and Gospel award winning artiste Silas Mwenda is set to record a single with American gospel duo Mary Mary. Silas who recently bagged the Best Newcomer award during the Talanta Awards in Washington divulged that the In the Morning hit-makers were delighted with his music.

“I had the opportunity to meet Mary Mary, who we are planning to do some projects which including recording a song together which will be released very soon. They loved my music and said that I have a distinct African energy on stage,” said Silas.

Silas who is currently in the US is set to embark on a tour that will see him share a stage with top American gospel artistes. Silas is the only African Gospel artiste who is set to perform alongside celebrated American Gospel artistes. “I’m totally honoured and I feel this is a great platform not only for my music but to showcase what Kenyan artistes can do and at the same time give music enthusiasts a good show”, asserted the versatile new singing sensation.

As part of the tour the Kenyan Gospel artiste will be performing in Maryland and Baltimore in October as well as at the Newsome festivals.
