Lupita Nyong’o Fails To Meet Expectations and In the Biggest Movie of Her Career…And There Are Dire Consequences

She is still the ‘it’ girl in Hollywood as demonstrated about the two magazine covers she has landed this month, but it seems that it’s not everyone who is impressed with the ‘it’ girl status.

For example Star Wars director JJ Abrams who was so unimpressed by her performance on Star Wars that he cut out most of her scenes.

Apparently Lupita really struggled with connecting with her CGI character. A source told the Sun news paper that “The CGI seemed to be what Lupita struggled with, perhaps because it meant she felt less of a connection to the character.

There was a general sense that something wasn’t working so a lot of her scenes ended up being either re-worked or cut. Unfortunately she just didn’t end up delivering.” And that is when JJ Abrams made the unfortunate decision of cutting most of her scenes out. Meaning her part in the final film will be less significant than we expected.

But it’s not the first time this has ever happened to someone in Hollywood; it happens but rarely happens to A-listers like Lupita Nyong’o.

“It’s ultimately quite embarrassing for Lupita but she’s still thrilled to even be in such an iconic movie.” The source said.

She may not have a major part in Star Wars but at least she has 3 upcoming movies such as ‘Queen of Katwe’ , ‘Americana’ and ‘Jungle Book’
