Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Reports to the CID over Allegations That His Father’s Postmortem Samples Had Been Tampered With

On Friday 27th April 2013, the late Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo was found dead in his bed at his Maanzoni ranch, with froth in his mouth and bleeding from various parts of his body.

He had no known illness and pathologists performed an autopsy to find out what caused his sudden demise, results which 1 year 10 months later have never been revealed.His death became an issue that was swept under the carpet much like those who had gone before him such as Tom Mboya, JM Kariuki and George Saitoti.

According to SDE, his children Kethi and Mutula Junior have in recent times gone to the CID headquarters to file a complaint that their father’s autopsy samples had been tampered with by an unknown person.

The two recorded a statement with the CID after the D.P.P Keriako Tobiko ordered an investigation into the said tampering of Mutula’s remains.
