Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo Roasts K24 For Taking Advantage of KTN, NTV, Citizen And QTV Shutdown
The digital migration debacle is still the most trending topic among many Kenyans as each one of them is airing their views concerning the saga that has seen three major media houses in the country shut down their TV stations from digital platforms to protest what they term as harassment from their regulator, the Communications Authority of Kenya.
NTV, KTN, QTV and Citizen TV shut down their digital frequencies on Saturday, plunging the country into information darkness and leaving K24, KBC and Kiss TV as the only available TV stations to provide information to Kenyans.
However, it seems, according to Mbita Member of Parliament Millie Mabona, the three stations and specifically K24 is not living up to the expectations.

The MP has blasted the TV station for riding on the digital migration saga and portraying the three media houses as being bad and not ready to embrace change.
Millie feels this is the best chance K24 have to appeal themselves to the masses but it seems they are not doing so, effectively becoming less trusted.
The MP posted:
I watched K24 today and three quarters of the news was on digital migration and how they are employing others and how NTV, Citizen etc are not being truthful….blurr blurrr. Strategically they have wasted a chance to market themselves as a better alternative.
