McDonald Mariga Goes Jobless After His Club Gets Dissolved

The Kenyan midfielder and brother to Southampton ace Victor Wanyama is a jobless man after his Italian club, Parma, which plays in the Serie A, got dissolved yesterday.

Parma has accumulated a debt of close to 197 million Euros, and could not afford even drinking water during training sessions.

The club was dissolved yesterday after it postponed its match with Udinese in the Serie A because it had no money to pay stewards for the match.

Macdonald Mariga and his teammates have not been paid for long periods of time and has seen the once revered Serie A giants succumb to the bottom of the Serie A table.

All season long, the club has managed to accumulate only 10 points, thanks to the financial struggles it has experienced.

Mariga is now officially jobless and will try to revive his otherwise dwindling career elsewhere. Ironically, his younger brother Victor Wanyama, who is also captain to the national team, is doing so well in the South Coast of England, despite his club losing 2-0 to Liverpool in yesterday’s crunch clash.

Where will Mariga go next? Only time will tell.
