Meet The Man Behind Changes (Westlands) Super Parties

Today I want to go into the nitty gritties behind the successful parties at Changes. For those of you who do not know, a while back, Changes had been the IT club… Or atleast one of them along Electric Avenue. But as always happens to Kenyan clubs, people just decided that it wasn’t cool anymore.

And just like that Changes fell off. Then Dean Martin came along. and he changed how even I perceive club promoting. He approached it with a wholistic perspective. It isn’t just about getting the crowds back, it’s about getting the right crowd in.
It isn’t just about having a party, it’s about creating an experience for the revellers. And while getting big name Djs is awesome, it’s about more than having a big name DJ spinning at your club, it’s about bringing a DJ who connects with the crowd. That’s why he reached out to DJ Kaytrixx and DJ Creme de la Creme.

Mr. Githinji decided that as a reward for the revellers who come through the doors of your establishment, the pricing of drinks and shisha shouldn’t be exhorbitant… They shouldn’t be prices that cannot be justified. Something I have complained about at Off-Road where I once was last year and people were partying over/around raw sewage yet a beer there costs 250/-!
What’s the difference between such a setting and a keg bar?

Dean Martin also took on the role of handling customer relations. Trust me when I say that he is always up and about checking how the clientele are doing as they party -be they in V.I.P or regular seating areas.

Why else do you think Changes has once more emerged as one of the most happening party hotspots in Westlands for the mature clientele? They know they will be well catered to and they won’t have to worry about that ratchet bunch of teenagers!
