Mike Sonko Pledges To Pay Match Tickets For 1490 Fans To Watch The Kenya Vs Nigeria Match
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko is back to his philanthropic ways. Wednesday, the flamboyant politician pledged to pay stadium tickets for 1490 Kenyans, to go watch the Harambee Stars vs Super Eagles match on 5th June at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
This is expected to cost him about half a million shillings. Sonko also pledged to give Harambee Stars Sh 1 million if they win, and Sh 200,000 for every goal scored.
This is my motivation to our national team Harambee Stars as they face Nigeria’s Super Eagles 5th June, I’ll pay entrance fees for 1,490 fans. 85 wards×10 fans = 850 Fans, 17 constituencies×20 Fans = 340 Fans.
An extra 300 Fans will be awarded tickets by Radio Maisha, Citizen & Jambo, each distributing tickets to 100 Fans. That should cost about 447,000/-.
I’ll also add an extra 1 Million if we win & 200,000/- for every goal scored. I’ll need you guys to coordinate with your ward/county reps & MP’s to make this work.
Meanwhile, you can help build Harambee Stars by sending an SMS “Mbao for Bao” to 20870. Each SMS sent contributes KShs 20 to the national team.
