Mombasa Road-Based Media House Fires Top Employees!
Journalists in Kenya have seen better years,2013 has really not been their year.We have all witnessed the sacking of journalists in masses left right and center.
First it was K24 that kicked out its poached journalists,Kiss TV quickly followed suit sacking over seventy of its employees.Mombasa based radio Salaam was hot on the heels of Kiss TV and fired over 15 of its employees.
According to Jackal news, The Standard has forced two of its major employees to close shop and call it a day.The ones in the line of fire are Standard’s Group’s editorial director Bernard Nderitu and his managing director Neema Wamai.

This has come barely an year after Nderitu was appointed amidst controversy to give the Mombasa based media house a new lease of life .The reason for their firing is unclear and very unfortunate especially now that living in Kenya after the VAT bill has become a daunting task.
