Move Over Huddah Monroe’s ‘Funeral Selfie’. This Is The Most Controversial Selfie Ever! (Photos)
About a month ago, Oxford dictionaries declared selfie as this year’s word of the year and for a good reason, this word has attracted a great deal of attention during the year. So what exactly is a selfie?
According to Oxford dictionary a selfie is a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a Smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website
A few months ago Huddah’s selfie at a funeral attracted a hostile response from social media and was the most controversial selfie in a while. Well last week it emerged that not only Huddah takes selfies at funerals but also Mr Obama himself. The president excitedly took a few selfies with British prime minister David Cameron and Denmark’s prime minister at Nelson Mandela’s funeral much to the chagrin of Michelle Obama .

Michelle does not look too happy
This selfie has been the hottest topic for a Week now,not only in Kenya but also world wide and everyone seems to have gotten their breeches in a bunch over this. The president has been called narcissistic and self-absorbed and a shame to the big old USA.Ouch!
Here are some of the responses to the controversial selfie:
“The sign-language interpreter wasn’t the only fake at the Mandela funeral. Obama + Cameron were posing as world leaders.” Goodwin NY Post
The New York Post:
It’s official — the government of the United States of Obama consists of boobs and bores and is led by a narcissist. It is no consolation that Great Britain joins us in racing to the bottom.
President Obama’s flirting with Denmark’s prime minister would be shameful on any occasion. That it happened at the memorial for Nelson Mandela only adds to the embarrassment.
But the “selfie” episode also symbolizes the greater global calamity of Western decline. With British prime minister David Cameron playing the role of Obama’s giggling wingman, the “look at me” moment confirms we have unserious leaders in a dangerously serious time.
