Nairobi Half Life Leads In Nominations In Africa Movie Academy Awards
According to the Africa Movie Academy Awards to be held in Nigeria on 14th April 2013, Kenya received nine nominations. The ceremony, full of pomp and pizzazz was hosted by Her Excellency President Joyce Banda in Lilongwe Malawi.
Yesterday, I posted about Nairobi Half Life getting to be screened in 100 cities across the United States of America. Did you see that article? Well the accolades keep pouring in. Nairobi Half Life received nine nominations. The director Tosh Gitonga, was nominated together with the main character Joseph Babu Wairimu (Mwas) and Olwenya Maina (Oti). Another movie that was nominated was Ng’endo Mukii’s yellow fever which shall be screened at Goethe institue next monday. Read about it here.
