New Evidence Confirms That Willy Paul Stole ‘Tam Tam’
Last week, an artiste named Elijah Prince came out claiming that he had written ‘Kitamtam’ a.k.a ‘Tam Tam’ , a song which he sang with Willy Paul and DK Kwenye Beat .
This song didn’t perform very well and Willy Paul decided to tip-toe away with the chorus and create ‘Tam Tam’ which was incidentally kept off our airwaves. It was hidden away on you tube, something which is very unlike Willy Paul.
You can watch it below:
He then went on to create ‘Tam Tam- The Remix’ with Size 8 without Elijah’s knowledge.
And that is when Elijah realized that he had been double-crossed.Elijah says his problem isn’t even the fact that a remix was done with Size 8,but that these people had taken his song without his permission and claimed it was theirs.
These are claims that Willy Paul has since denied and has embraced the go to move adapted by every Kenyan celebrity ‘deny, deny, deny!’ then throw in the name of God.
However, new evidence that resulted from digging deeper into this story further incriminates Willy Paul. And honestly I do not know how he will slither out of this one.It is pretty sticky!
During my investigation, I came across ‘Mwanamke’ the master copy created on 15th October 2013 at 8:07 P.m. For those who are not aware, ‘Mwanamke’ was the original title coined by Elijah his song with DK Kwenye Beat and Willy Paul .It was then changed to ‘Kitamtam’ which was more appealing, and its the chorus of this song that Willy Paul poached.
I spoke to Dokta Eddie,a respected member of the gospel fraternity and the producer of the original song ‘Kitamtam ’
Eddie says “When someone calls you to do as song, it doesn’t mean that just because you sang a chorus, the chorus is yours. Elijah invited Willy Paul to do the chorus of a song had Elijah had written so I do not understand why Willy Paul claims that the song is his.”
