NTV Channel Terminated Over Copyright Infringement

A disaster has fallen upon one of Kenya’s biggest media houses, NTV.

This is after NTV Kenya’s You Tube channel which has 280,894 subscribers and 50,775 Videos has been terminated much to the chagrin of NTV fans.

In a statement on their channel, You Tube alleged that “NTV Kenya has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted.”

However according to google support it is possible to recover your channel. According to their copyright terminations clause “If your account was terminated due to claims of copyright infringement and you believe the copyright claims against your account are improper or invalid, you may file a DMCA counter-notification. This process is still available for terminated users – access to your account is not necessary.”
